On September 20, 2015, the “White Coat Ceremony” was arranged for the first semester students of the US MD Program at TSMU. This tradition accounts  three years since the US MD Program was launched at TSMU.

Despite the short time, the US MD Program acquired a serious credibility and resonance within medical space in Georgia as well as abroad. The assessments of American visitors abundantly evidenced it. Vice-Rectors of TSMU: Professor Khatuna Todadze and Rima Beriashvili, Mr Nicholas Berliner Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States to Georgia, Gen. Joe Jarrard, commander of the Georgia State Army National Guard,  Mark Hartel Vice–Colonel, Head of the US Army Medical Research Section,  Archil Undilashvili Head of the US MD Program, Assistant Professor of Public Health at Emory University, Assistant Professor Eka Ekaladze Program Director, Professors of Boston University:  James Lee and David Dominguez.  Newly enrolled students and university professors were addressed by Mariam Mikadze the third semester student of  US MD program.
