The VII International Conference –

On 16-18th of October, 2015 the VII International Conference –"Health and Ecology" was held in the health resort Sairme.  

The Conference was organized by the Tbilisi State Medical University, TSMU Faculty of Public Health and the Association of  Medical Ecology.

The conference was opened and the participants were welcomed by Associate Professor Marina Giorgobiani Scientific Director, President of the Association of Medical Ecology, Academic Doctor of Medicine and Associate Professor Bidzina Zurashvili, Dean of TSMU Faculty of Public Health. According to the organizers of the conference, the resort Sairme was not chosen by chance as the venue of  the VII International Conference. It is known that Sairme resort, which is located in the south at altitude of 950 meters, and administratively belongs to the Municipality of Baghdad, is distinguished for its healing, rich resources of mineral and thermal springs, coniferous and deciduous forests, which make it unique and distinguished throughout the whole Europe.

During the conference the famous theorists and practitioners - TSMU Professors, Heads of directions, young researchers, TSMU PhD students - gave their reports on various actual issues of medicine. The poster “Ecology of Metropolises” was represented by the IV year students of TSMU Faculty of Public Health – Oliko Mamatsashvili and Keso Janelidze.

6. Detection of essential elements of enamel and dentin in children body and assessment of their impact - by N. Suladze T.Shishniashvili, S.Litanishvili - Tbilisi State Medical University, Tbilisi, Georgia;

7. The impact of qualitative and quantitative imbalance of intestinal microflora on oral diseases in children - by T.Suladze, T.Shishniashvili, V.Makhviladze, E.Litanishvili- Tbilisi State Medical University;

8. Dioscorid monotherapy in older patients with ischemic heart diseases - by A.Kochlamazashvili,M.Naskidashvili-Medical Treatment Center "Extra", Tbilisi;

9. Assessment of food sanitary-bacteriological study results in Georgia in 2013-2014 - by T.Darsania, B.Kurashvili, Sh.Zarnadze, L.Bakradze, Tbilisi State Medical University;

10. Introduction to the Study -I.Zarnadze, Sh.Zarnadze - Tbilisi State Medical University.

The final part of the Conference (in a roundtable format)  was dedicated to the debates on the important issues arisen at the Conference. The reports  represented at the VII International Conference on "Health and Ecology" were published in the professional journals "Experimental and Clinical Medicine" №4, 2015. The conference participants were awarded the certificates.

On the last day of the conference, the participants visited Martyrs Monastery complex (XI century), where incorruptible remains of the saints David and Konstantin are kept.
