On 23-24th of  October 2015, the VIII annual International Conference on “Pediatric  and Adolescent Medicine" organized by  Child and Adolescent Health Association, the Association of Pediatricians and  Foundation ,, Health" was held at Tbilisi State Medical University. The conference was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Professor Avtandil Kvezereli-Kopadze, M.D., Ph.D., the Cavalier of Honour.  The Conference was opened by the organizer - Prof. Karaman Pagava, who spoke about the contribution made by Avtandil Kvezereli-Kopadze: ,, It is an example of how people should love their professions and the country, he can be named as standard-bearer of pediatrics". The attendees were greeted by Professor ZurabVadachkoria, Rector of TSMU. According to him, it is a great honor for our University that Mr. Avtandil Kvezereli-Kopadze is a member TSMU Rector’s Advisory Board. Professor Zurab Vadachkoria expressed his special thankfulness to Prof. Dr. Michael Lentze, TSMU Honorary Doctor, Professor of the Department of Pediatrics at Bonn University Hospital, honorary member of Austrian and German Societies of Pediatrics, for the support  and standing beside. Welcome speeches were also made by professors: Nino Manjavidze, Roman Svanishvili, Nana Geladze, Nugzar Uberi, Manana Khochava and Gogi Chakhunashvili. The presentations were made on topical issues of pediatrics; discussions on the issues were carried out  to the end of the section.
