It is the first time the “Expo-Georgia” Pavilion is hosting the Caucasus region’s first ever International Week of Science and Innovation. The International Week of Science and Innovation was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
The event was opened and welcome speeches were given by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia and Tamar Sanikidze Minister of Education and Science of Georgia. They appealed to the participants, wished them success and visited thematic stands represented at "Expo Georgia" pavilion by different institutions and Tbilisi State Medical University among them. Tbilisi State Medical University represented the latest scientific papers, textbooks, methodical recommendations developed at TSMU.
I.Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacology showed off the medico-pharmaceutical preparations and V.Bakhutashvili S/R Institute of Medical Biotechnology - their achievements, scientific works and a variety of visualizations, respectively. Within the space of Expo-Georgia pavilion public lectures and presentations were delivered as well.
The audience listened to the interesting information on ongoing research activities, recent discoveries/achievements and future prospects in the different fields.
Within the frames of the International Week of Science and Innovation, an arrangement of different events, including trainings, seminars, public lectures, conferences and excursions is planned at TSMU. "International Week of Science and Innovation - 2015" will be closed on November 17 (on the International Day of Students).
