Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU was Awarded the “ Gusi Peace Prize”

On November 23, 2015 (in Manila, Philippines), Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU was awarded the “Gusi Peace Prize” for remarkable success achieved in maxillofacial surgery and the contribution made for internationalization of higher medical education.  Gusi Peace Prize is an award given by Gusi Peace Prize Foundation, which is given annually to individuals or organizations who have contributed to global peace progress andcooperation through a wide variety of fields. It should be noted that Professor Zurab Vadachkoria the first Georgian who was awarded the Gusi Peace Prize.

Guzis Peace Prize is set and the nominates are selected by Gusi Peace Prize Foundation, a charitable organization which  aims demonstration of the most beautiful aspirations and high ideals of the humanity. The Gusi Peace Prize  was founded by Barry Gusi, Asia Goodwill Ambassador, as a way to continue the work of his father Gemeniano Javier Gusi, a World War II soldier who fought for freedom and later became a politician and human rights defender.
