International Conference -,,Current Issues of Modern Medicine

On April 14-15, 2016 the International Conference on "Current issues of modern medicine" was held at Tbilisi State Medical University.
The conference was officially opened by Prof. Khatuna Todadze, Vice-Rector of TSMU and  Professor Rima Beriashvili, Vice-Rector of TSMU.
During the conference, the American colleagues delivered the lectures for Georgian and international  students and residents of TSMU:

April 14:

• " Next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies: using in development of  medical approaches for cancer treatment " - Professor Jeremy Wu;

• "Therapy for smoking cessation" - Professor Lili Liu;

• Using  “smart / intelligent" biomaterials for administered therapy control "- Professor Benita Chen;

• "Neuropathic  pain management" - Professor Stephanie Cho;

• "Principles of headache management / Practice at migraine " - Professor Yang Yun Choi.

April 15:

• "Improvement of clinical process to reduce application of useless antibioticsin  primary health care network " - Professor Albert Chi;

• "Innovations in COPD management" - Professor Lili Liu;

• "Sepsis Yesterday and Today" - Professor Su Tau;

• "Modern best practice in the treatment of pneumonia" - Professor Yang Yun Choi;

• "Rapid changes in management of diabetes " - Professor Liu Lili.

At the end of the conference a professional discussion among colleagues was held. US professors answered the questions of TSMU students and residents.
