World Bank Representatives Visited Tbilisi State Medical University

On June 22, 2016, Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Roberta Bassett  higher education expert of the World Bank and Nino Kutateladze Education Operations officer .

The meeting was attended by Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Prof. Khatuna Todadze Vice-Rector, Prof. Zaza Bokhua Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, Zurab Antelidze Chancellor's adviser on formation of strategic trends and project funding, Prof. Gaiane Simonia, Head of the Department of Medical Education, Research and Strategic Development, Nino Rukhadze Head of Rector’s Office and Nino Kandelaki, Chief Specialist of International Affairs Department. University representatives introduced the guests to the structure of the University, discussed the adoption of innovative teaching methods and international relations, as well as important strategic projects and financing issues. They considered the achievements and challenges of the University related to the implementation of global standards in teaching system, including international accreditation process, to be integrated and establish the place on international arena, next to the Universities of Europe and the United States.
