On August 24, 2016 Prof. Angel Porgador, M.D., Ph.D., Professor and Deputy Vice President and Dean for R&D at Shraga Segal Dept of Microbiology, Immunology and Genetics, Faculty of Health Sciences of Ben-Gurion University of Negav (Israel) visited Tbilisi State Medical University.

The meeting was attended by: Vice-Rectors of TSMU - Prof. Kh.Todadze and Prof. R. Beriashvili; Prof. Tinatin Chikovani Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Prof. Nona Janikashvili Associate professor at the Department of Immunology.  

The meeting was focused on the future cooperation between the Universities in research fields. Prospects for the development of joint projects have been planned, including immunology, oncology, Microbiology and Epidemiology. They also spoke about the future possibilities for the development of joint PhD programs.
