The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare (Singapore)

   
   

On September 26-28, 2016, the Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare, focused on finding inspiration and developing new skills to improve healthcare for communities across the world, was held in Singapore. The forum was organized by the Singapore Healthcare Improvement Network (SHINe), Singapore Ministry of Health, the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and the organizations of medical technologies in the other Asian countries.

The Georgian delegation was represented by: Prof. Zaza Bokhua, Director of TSMU Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development, Ekaterine Kavtaradze Deputy Director of National Center for Disease Control and Public Health and Elene Godziashvili Coordinator of BMJ Georgian Project.

A number of meetings with the representatives of partner countries as well as BMJ leadership were arranged within the frame of International Forum and plan for future cooperation was outlined. During the visit, meeting with Dr. Alexander Lezhava, head of "Translational Research, Genome Institute of Singapore" and our compatriot, was arranged as well. Dr. Alexander Lezhava introduced research laboratory of the Institute to Georgian delegation. At the meeting they agreed on future cooperation with Tbilisi State Medical University.
