On October 19, 2016, Tony Lester Vice President at Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) and Associate Director of the scientific evaluation and scientific staff development visited  the Tbilisi State Medical University. Tony Lester met with Prof. Rima Beriashvili, Vice-Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Deans of the Faculties of Medicine and Public Health, the representatives of TSMU  S/R Institutions Scientific-Research Skills Center and TSMU Professors… They talked about the issues of scientific field, ways of scientific development andcooperation in this direction. According to Tony Lester, he heard some interesting ideas and expressed the hope on development of  futurefruitful cooperation between  "ORAU"  and Tbilisi State Medical University. At present "ORAU" unites 121 universities and other educational and scientific institutions. Its purpose is to define a cooperation strategy and successfully collaborate with the universities and  institutes of different  countries for getting quick and effective results in scientific development.
