“Divali” Festival at TSMU

On November 1, 2016, the concert, devoted to Indian Festival "diwali" was arranged at Tbilisi State Medical University. 

Hindus across the world celebrate Diwali in the last week of October.  Diwali is also known as "festival of lights" and the biggest celebration in the Hindu calendar. Hindus celebrating the festival light traditional earthen diyas (candles). The main theme which runs throughout the festival is the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Festival lasts for 5 days.   "Diwali" festival is traditionally celebrated by Indian students of Tbilisi State Medical University.  H.E.Mr.Yogeshwar Sangwan, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia and Georgia arrived to congratulate TSMU Indian students  on occasion of the National Festival.  Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University and  H. E. Mr. Yogeshwar Sangwan, Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia and Georgia congratulated Indian students on Diwali National Festival and attended the Concert devoted to the Festival.
