On June 16  Prezident of  Rostropovich Vishnevskaya Foundation  Elena Vishnevskaya visited The First University Clinic of TSMU. During the visit Elena Vishnevskaya was welcomed by Giorgi Abesadze, General Directorof The first University Clinic, Cicino GuGava Clinical Director, Aleksandre TarashviliHead of Obstetrics and Gynecology Direction and Irina Chelidze Head of Neonatology Section.

Elena Rostropovich visited Obstetrics and GynecologyDirection of the Clinic and approved implementation the newborn screening methods implies the earliest clinical detection of the Critical heart defects in newborns.

The Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation was founded in 1991 in  Washington, D.C. Foundation is a non-profit organization based in that supports programs to improve Mother and children health in  the former Soviet Union and the Middle East.The foundation operated in Georgia since 2004. The principle of the Fund's work is based on the cooperation and strengthening of existing state and commercial structures. It does not create parallel structures.

Rostropovich-Vishnevskaya Foundation has invested more than $ 10 million in children's health care programs in Georgia.The aim of the project is to provide timely treatment of congenital heart disease by implementing timely screening and monitoring for better outcome.
