Visit of Tuvalu Delegation to Tbilisi State Medical University

   
   

On October 16, 2017, a delegation from Tuvalu (State Pacific, Polynesia, Hawaii, and Australia) including: Mr. Namoliki Sualiki Neemia, Minister of Home Affairs and Rural Development; Dr. Tufoua Panapa, Assistant Secretary and Mr. Nemaia Paulo, Training-officer both at the Ministry of Education, Youths and Sports visited Tbilisi State Medical University.

The guests were welcomed by: Prof. Rima Beriashvili, Vice Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Lela Maskhulia Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of TSMU, Irina Kapetivadze Deputy Head of International Affairs Department of TSMU.

At the meeting the members of Tuvalu delegation received detailed information about Tbilisi State Medical University - the leader of medical education in Georgia - on the history, structure and teaching programs as well as international relations and admission requirements for foreign students.

The meeting was attended by 3 students from Tuvalu, who expressed satisfaction and gratitude towards the Tbilisi State Medical University.

At the end of the meeting, the Tuvalu delegation visited TSMU Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Training Center and highly appreciated  modern equipment.
