On October 24-27, 2017, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, was on a business trip to Budapest (Hungary). On 25 and 26 October, within the frames of the visit, Rector of TSMU  participated in the meeting with members of the Hungarian Rectors' Conference (HRC). The meeting was also attended by the Georgian delegation, which included: Giorgi Sharvashidze, Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Prof. Giga Zedania, Rector of Ilia State University; Prof. Giorgi Ghavtadze Rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University; Kakha Shengelia President of Caucasus University and  Nino Chelidze Executive Director of International Education Center. The members of the delegation had interesting meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Hungary and Rectors of the University of the relevant profiles. During the visit,  Professor Zurab Vadachkoria met with Prof. Katalin Nagy, President of International Committee of  the Hungarian Rectors' Conference (HRC), President of Hungarian Dental Association,Vice-Rector of Szeged University for International Affairs, Dental-Surgeon and  Prof. Gyorgy Bagdy, Vice-Rector of Semmelweis Medical University on research and science direction.   Professor Zurab Vadachkoria also met with representatives of the Tempus Foundation, namely :  Gabor Dobos, Head of “Study in Hungary” direction, Orsolya Janosik, Deputy Head of “Study in Hungary” direction, Marton Belik  Deputy Head of Hungarian Scholarship Program and Prof. Marton Beke, Deputy Head of the Department of Higher Education. The delegation was received by a state agency that participates in internationalization of higher education in Hungary. Within the frames of the meetings, the ways and prospects for future cooperation were planned.
