World Diabetes Day at TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic

November 14th, is the International Day of Diabetes. Celebration has been initiated since 1991 by the World Health Organization and is aimed to raise public awareness about the disease. Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University joined the world event and celebrated the date.

Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Prof. Lia Dzidziguri General Director  of Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic,  Head of Endocrinology Center Professor Marina Gordeladze, Professor Ekaterine Patsatsia Head of Endocrinology Department at Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic, Gvanca Gasviani Coordinator of Diabetes Management State Program at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia, Professor Ramaz Kurashvili and the Director of Georgian National Library, Giorgi Kekelidze addressed the audience. The lecture was delivered about a problematic issue: "Diabetes among Children and Adolescents".

Associate Professor Marina Gordeladze was awarded by a diploma concerning contribution in control and management of the disease. 

The honorable nominees - "The Well-Regulated Diabetic Patient 2018" and "The Best Parent 2018" were revealed among the children and parents. They were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts.

The event ended with celebration of festive franchises and balloons.
