Ambassador of India to Armenia and Georgia Visited Tbilisi State Medical University

On February 15, 2019, H.E. Yogeshwar Sangwan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia and Georgia visited Tbilisi State Medical University. Within the frames of the visit, the Ambassador of India met with Professor Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU  and the representatives of Administration. The meeting was attended by: Professor Zurab Orjonikidze, Chancellor; Vice Rectors: Professor Khatuna Todadze, Professor Rima Beriashvili and Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze; Irina Kapetivadze, Head of Rector’s Office; Assistant Professor Tinatin Kilasonia Head of International Relations Department;  Deputy Deans of International Faculty of Medicine: Associate Professor Levan Benashvili, Inga Kakhniashvili; Associate Professor Eka Ekaladze, Director of US MD Program. 

At the meeting Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU, introduced traditions and activities of the University to honorable guest, talked about the contacts and ongoing  joint projects with  leading universities worldwide. The Georgian side talked about teaching issues Indian students and their involvement in various educational projects and cultural events. At the meeting further development of close relations and partnership was planned. After the visit, H.E. Yogeshwar Sangwan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia and Georgia met with Indian students of Tbilisi State Medical University.
