On March 1-7, 2019, the IV and X semester students of the Faculty of Medicine of Tbilisi State Medical University: Elene Gunia and Giorgi Chilingarashvili  participated in the 68th IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations) General Assembly which was held in Portoroz, Slovenia. Giorgi Chilingarashvili, as a National Officer of Medical Education (GMSA) and Head of the Local Committee at TSMU, participated in the activities of the Medical Education Committee (SCEN) (trainings, conferences). Elene Gunia attended sessions and training on research exchange programs, as the Head of the local Standing Committee on Research Exchange  (SCORE) at TSMU.  The committee actively works with the exchange students  and supports them in providing more comfortable and friendly environment in Georgia. International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) is the largest student union worldwide, working in six major directions: Standing Committee on Medical Education (SCOME), Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH), Standing Committee on human Rights and Peace (SCORP), on Sexual & Reproductive Health incl. HIV/AIDS (SCORA), Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE) and  Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE).  It is noteworthy to mention that several important projects such as: Teddy Bear Hospital, Surgical Skills Workshop, public lectures, master classes etc. have been implemented by the Local Committee of Georgia in 2019.
