On March 4 – 9, 2019, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University paid an official visit to the University Clinic of the Innsbruck Medical University (Austria).  Within the frames of the visit, TSMU Rector met with Prof. Dr. Stefan Deflorian, Head of University Clinic and Director of Tyrol Hospitals Union and Dr. Waltraud Buchberger Director of Nursing College.  At the meeting the sides discussed the issues of mutual cooperation, including the course of Manana Kutelia’s program and perspectives of its possible development.  It is noteworthy to mention that the Austrian side expressed special thankfulness to Professor Zurab Vadachkoria for TSMU students those, who were visiting Innsbruck University Clinic and were exemplary in terms of professional interest and personality traits. The meetings were also attended by Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze Honorary Doctor of TSMU, Chief Doctor of Radiotherapy and Radiology Center of Innsbruck University Clinic. Within the frames of the visit, a new working visit in order to meet with the Rector of Innsbruck University, students and coordinators participating in exchange programs and signing bilateral partnership agreement, were scheduled for the end of March 2019.  In addition, the meeting with the Head of the Department of Pharmacy of Innsbruck Medical University and Director of Institute of Chemistry of Innsbruck Medical University, initiated by Dr. Irma Kvitsaridze and Prof. Gunther Bon, Head of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry and Radio Chemistry, was scheduled as well to discuss the prospects of mutual cooperation, including development of joint exchange and scientific research programs.
