On May 18-19, 2019, the 6th International Health Conference was organized by the Georgian International Medical and Public Health Association (GIMPHA) at Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel, Tbilisi.

The goal of the conference was to bring together health care practitioners from Europe and Georgia, to share knowledge and experience, to improve quality in health care, to discuss scientific and professional issues and to plan collaborative projects. Several sessions were dedicated to the various diseases: trauma - orthopedic surgery, infectious diseases, neurology, diagnostic and treatment of thyroid cancer, challenges of cardiovascular surgery and aspect of treatment of stomach and colorectal cancer and etc. 

Within the framework of the conference various lecturers were awarded by the GIMPHA students. TSMU students named the best lecturer of the year, Professor Irine Kvatchadze, the Head of TSMU Quality Assurance and Physiology Departments.
