TSMU Pharmacy Faculty graduate, Mariam Murtazashvili headed the Quality Department of the Georgian biopharmaceutical company “Biochimpharma”. The company has been on the market for nearly 80 years.
Mariam Murtazashvili became a student at the Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Pharmacy in 2010. In 2014 she graduated from the bachelor’s degree and became a student at the TSMU Faculty of Pharmacy Master’s educational program “Pharmaceutical Analysis”. Mariam Murtazashvili noted “While studying on master’s level I had direct connection with the specialists in my field. Two-years educational program was loaded with practical works. I was given the opportunity to work at leading Georgian companies and laboratories. I was familiar with the profession I wanted to realize”. Nowadays Mariam Murtazashvili is TSMU Doctoral student and actively works on her scientific topic "Optimization of methods of chemical-toxicological analysis of synthetic cannabinoids in biological fluids".
“TSMU lecturers have been helping to develop my doctoral research” – she noted. Successful student was asked to advise TSMU students based on her own experience. Mariam replied: “I would recommend a Master's educational program in Pharmacy to the Bachelor’s students of the Pharmacy Faculty. TSMU offers students implementation of their theoretical knowledge in practice. It makes the teaching and learning process very interesting and effective”.
