On April 22-26, 2022 the 32nd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases was organized in Lisbon (Portugal).

Tbilisi State Medical University Child and Adolescent Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics Departments presented a poster presentation and an abstract.

The presentation was “A study on the global prevalence of antibiotic use in hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Georgia: What has the pandemic changed?” The research was conducted at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in collaboration with the Vaccine & Infectious Disease Institute (VAXINFECTIO).

The authors of the research are the TSMU Professors: Karaman Pagava, Irma Korinteli and Elene Pagava and the University of Antwerp Professors Ann Versporten, Innes Pouder and Herman Goossens.
