On June 22, 2022 Georgian Association for the Management and Development of Laboratory Medicine organized a conference on "Modern Aspects of Laboratory Diagnostics" at TSMU. The conference was chaired by the general secretary of the association, Prof. Nino Gogokhia, Head of the laboratory of TSMU the First University Clinic. 

The conference was accredited by the Health Professional Development Council and was awarded with six credit points. This was the first accredited conference in the field of laboratory medicine. The multidisciplinary conference covered laboratory diagnostics and clinical issues. Following vulnerable issues were discussed at the conference: drug influence monitoring based on lab studies, IL 6 value in stillbirth during the COVID-19, specificity of the anti-Sars Cov 2 antibody production and transplacental transmission in vaccinated pregnant, microsatellite instability in oncology: review and future. The event was attended by the TSMU academic and administrative staff.
