On July 4-8, 2022 within the framework of ERASMUS + international credit mobility Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by the representatives of the Medical University of Lublin.
Professor Kamil Torres, Vice Rector for Educational Affairs, Professor Anna Torres, Head of the Independent Laboratory of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, Assistant Professor Agnieszka Lasota, Head of the Department of Jaw Orthopedics, Faculty of Dentistry, Assistant Processor Anna Sobeschanska, Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Elwira Sieniawska, Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy with Medical Plants Garden visited TSMU the First University Clinic, Ingorokva High Medical Technology University Clinic and Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation. The guests were introduced to the innovative clinical and academic activities of the clinics. They were met by Professor Gia Tomadze, Head of the Department of Surgery. The delegation visited TSMU Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center and departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The delegation of the Medical University of Lublin visited TSMU Apolon Urushadze Dental Clinic and met Professor Marina Mamaladze, Head of the Odontology Department. The guests attended the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) examination at the Department of Odontology.
Assistant Professor Agnieszka Lasota, Head of the Department of Jaw Orthopedics delivered a lecture: “Orthodontic treatment of children with cleft lip and palate defects - a multidisciplinary approach”. The public lecture was attended by the academic staff of the TSMU Department of Orthodontics, doctors and residents of the Orthodontic Department of the Apolon Urushadze Dental Clinic and TSMU #1 and #2 Dental Clinics’ orthodontists.
Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, TSMU Rector, vice deans, faculty deans and representatives of different units of the university met the guests. Professor Khatuna Todadze, TSMU Vice Rector presented academic programs and projects of the Tbilisi State Medical University. The delegation of the Medical University of Lublin noted, innovative approaches, modern standards and methods at the Tbilisi State Medical University are focused on preparing competitive and qualified professionals. Cooperation activities and projects were also discussed during the meeting.
