On July 5-6, 2022 Prof. Shalva Zarnadze, Head of Department of Nutrition and Aging Medicine, Prof. Levan Baramidze, Head of Department of Public Health, Management, Policy and Economy, Assoc. Professors Irine Zarnadze and Devi Tabidze and Public Health Faculty students Giorgi Matchavariani and Mikheil Gabaidze participated in the international scientific conference “The Black Sea at the Crossroads of Civilizations”. The conference was organized by the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University within the framework of the scientific-educational event "Blue Policy of the Black Sea". Professors and researchers from 14 international countries participated in the conference.

Assoc. Prof. Irine Zarnadze presented a study – “Modern trends in maritime healthcare, study and assessment of sailors’ health conditions and maritime medical services in Georgia”. The following reportswere also presented by the TSMU academic staff:

Within the framework of the event a scientific picnic was organized. Tbilisi State Medical University Public Health Faculty representatives introduced TSMU educational programmes to the visitors in the official area of the TSMU. A cognitive quiz game “Environment and Health” was organized by the TSMU representatives at the end of the scientific picnic.
