Within the framework of Erasmus+ ICM KA107 program, TSMU Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 7th semester students Ana Sitchinava, Mariam Aspanidze and Rusudan Sturua underwent a two-month internship at Palanga Rehabilitation Hospital, Klaipeda (Lithuania).

TSMU students obtained practical skills in the Kinesiotherapy, Neuro-Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy and Aquatic Therapy Departments. The students were also introduced to the basic principles and guidelines of physical medicine and rehabilitation. They were involved in clinical activities, introduced to the modern methods of diagnostics and treatment, were given the opportunity to attend the patient examinations and participate in the process of discussing individual rehabilitation programs for the patients.

The students noted, the internship was an opportunity for them to obtain experience and be oriented on further professional development.
