On January 27, 2023 within the framework of scholarship program, initiated by TSMU Emeritus Merab Dvali, students’ awarding ceremony was organized at TSMU. The event was headed by Prof. Irine Kvatchadze. 

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Dentist and Professor Lia Tchelidze has been educating young dentists for more than 70 years. Prof. Lia Tchelidze attended the event. She awarded students and wished them success. The event was also attended by the professor’s students: Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU, Prof. Zurab Orjonikidze Chancellor of TSMU and Prof. Marina Mamaladze Head of the TSMU Odontology Department. They talked about Prof. Lia Tchelidze’s pedagogical and priceless work. 

Within the framework of the event, Sayali Ibragimova, a resident of the Ophthalmology program was awarded by Emeritus Merab Dvali with a scholarship named after Prof. Tatiana Shatilova.

Prof. Tatiana Shatilova educated many generations of ophthalmologists. She was one of the ophthalmologists, who introduced innovative diagnostic and treatment methods in Georgia. Prof. Tatiana Shatilova was remembered by her students: Eter Mshvidobadze, Irina Todua and Nino Tavberdize.
