Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Magdalena Sofia Walshhopher, a student from the Medical University of Innsbruck (Austria). The student underwent clinical internship (August, 2023) at Tbilisi State Medical University and Ingorokva High Medical Technology University Clinic, the Department of Internal Disease N2 (under the supervision of Professor Irma Chokhonelidze). 

Magdalena Sofia highlighted previous students' visits, their evaluations and recommendations about the TSMU clinics assisted her in making the decision to undergo internship at Tbilisi State Medical University.

“This is my second visit to Georgia. I had a great desire to return to this country. As a consequence, I looked through the international programs of my university and discovered partnership between Tbilisi State Medical University and the Medical University of Innsbruck. Moreover, I read letters of recommendations of the Austrian students who had visited TSMU and specifically Tbilisi State Medical University and Ingorokva High Medical Technology University Clinic and the Department of Professor Irma Chokhonelidze” said the Austrian student.

                       

Internship at Tbilisi State Medical University and Ingorokva High Medical Technology University Clinic was rated by the Austrian student positively. She noted that she had acquired important practice skills. She believes that the experience will make an impact on her professional development.

“Working with Prof. Irma Chokhonelidze and her team was a great experience for me. I had day-to-day communication with patients, observed doctor-patient communication, discussed patients’ anamnesis and treatment methods, attended manipulations and spent time in the dialysis center. The summer spent in Tbilisi State Medical University and Ingorokva High Medical Technology University Clinic was very interesting. I will recommend TSMU to Austrian students” said Magdalena Sofia.
