საქართველოს ალერგოლოგიისა და კლინიკური იმუნოლოგიის ასოციაციისა და თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო უნივერსიტეტის ორგანიზებით იმუნოლოგთა საერთაშორისო ფორუმი გაიმართა

Georgian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology and Tbilisi State Medical University organized International Forum of Immunologists

On May 7-10, 2024 Georgian Association of Allergology and  Clinical Immunology and Tbilisi State Medical University organized anniversary forum of immunologists. The forum included several directions: the XIII Georgian National Congress of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, IX European Congress on Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), III International Conference on Coronavirus Infectious Disease (COVID-19): Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment and Rehabilitation. 

The event was opened by Academician Revaz Sepiashvili, the President of the Georgian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology. Professor Irakli Natroshvili Rector of TSMU was a co-chair of the organizing committee of the forum. The TSMU rector highlighted the congress as a brilliant format in adhering to the highest international standards and creating the best opportunities for establishing new professional connections. Professor Tinatin Chikovani, Head of the TSMU Immunology Department and former President of the Georgian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology and Associate Professor Ia Pantsulaia Department of Immunology and Vice President of the Georgian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology were co-chairs of the anniversary forum.

Leading scientists from different countries, leaders of international organizations and winner of Nobel Prize and Honorary Doctor of TSMU Aaron Ciechanover (Israel) participated in the forum. Within the framework of the project, in collaboration with professors from the University of Washington, an international school-seminar: "New frontiers in immunology: modern innovative technologies of clinical immunology and allergology" was organized.

The forum was supported by Georgian Association of Allergology and  Clinical Immunology, Tbilisi State Medical University, the World Allergy Organization, the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the International Union of Immunological Societies and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.
