On June 4-9, 2024 a delegation of the Faculty of Public Health of TSMU participated in the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) general assembly organized in Portugal. The TSMU delegation: Professor Levan Baramidze, Head of the Department of Public Health, Management Policy and Economics; Professor Shalva Zarnadze Head of Department of Nutrition, Aging Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health,  and Associate professors of the same department Irine Zarnadze and Devi Tabidze.

Professor Levan Baramidze gave a presentation on lifelong learning (LLL) objectives in the context of school of public health.

The TSMU delegation also participated in the election of the ASPHER board. Tbilisi State Medical University has been a member of ASPHER for nearly a decade.
