Representatives of Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center of Tbilisi State Medical University visited 29th Annual Meeting of the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM)

On June 19-21, 2024, Professor Irma Manjavidze, Head of the Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center of Tbilisi State Medical University and Assistant Professor Lia Otiashvili attended the 29th Annual Meeting of the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM) in Prague, Czech Republic.

Professors from Tbilisi State Medical University presented a poster presentation "Implementation of OSCE Exam for 3rd Year Medical Faculty Students" and an oral presentation "Modernizing Medical Education through an Integrated Approach." The co-authors of the presentations were staff members of TSMU's Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center.

Professor Irma Manjavidze and Assistant Professor Lia Otiashvili met Francisco Maio Matos, Acting President of SESAM, Pier Luigi Ingrassia, President of SESAM, Pedro Cartaxo Cintra, Treasurer of SESAM, Tamara Skrisovska Vice-President and Kirsty Freeman, Secretary of SESAM within the framework of the visit. The parties discussed future partnership opportunities. 

TSMU representatives noted that the meeting with Debra Nestel, the editor of the international journal "Simulations in Healthcare'' and a member of the SiReN scientific network, was significant for the European integration of Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center of TSMU. During the meeting, the main avenues for collaborative work within this scientific team were outlined.
