In October 19-22, 2024, the Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine of TSMU Professor Rusudan Beriashvili was invited by the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) Section of the United States Embassy in Tbilisi to visit Boston, Massachusetts, USA, as a speaker at 2024 International Association of Chiefs of Police(IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition and present about the concept of forensic nursing education system in Georgia.

Professor Rusudan Beriashvili has been an active contributor to the INL-supported initiative of introducing Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program in Georgia. As part of this initiative, she has participated into a number of INL-funded activities related to the above initiative including: 2022 SANE study visit to Colorado; 2023 IAFN Annual Conference in Arizona and SANE Planning Workshop and Roundtable. Dr. Rusudan Beriashvili has been invited to share her experience on SANE project as a co-presenter of the presentations’ session “Introducing Forensic Nursing and Sexual Assault Nursault Nursing Exams in International Settings to Address Gender-Based Violence”. The new ways of international cooperation in forensic cooperation in forensic nursing education in Georgia have been planned .
