World Allergy Organization School’s Training in Tbilisi

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) School has selected Tbilisi as the host city for an upcoming training session. The official decision was made on March 1 during the WAO Training School Committee meeting. The training, led by American professor Dana Wallace, will be conducted within the framework of the 14th National Congress of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, scheduled for May 5-8.

The WAO Training School Committee meeting took place during the 2025 World Allergy Congress in San Diego, USA. The joint event, organized by the World Allergy Organization (WAO) and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), was held from February 28 to March 3.

Professor Tinatin Chikovani, Head of the Department of Immunology of Tbilisi State Medical University participated in the congress. She was actively engaged in scientific sessions, symposia, and the meetings of WAO committees and the Representative Assembly. Professor Tinatin Chikovani took part in a joint working session of the WAO Executive Committee and Board of Directors, during which the organization's strategic plan for 2025-2028 was approved.

TSMU graduate Tornike Mamuladze was also involved in the activities of the congress. Tornike Mamuladze is a doctoral candidate at the University of Washington. His poster presentation was recognized as the best in its category.
