Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by the delegation from Sofia Medical University. The goal of the visit was to outline new joint projects, explore future cooperation opportunities, and expand collaboration.

The Bulgarian delegation was welcomed by Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of TSMU. The TSMU rector highlighted readiness and desire of TSMU staff to actively engage in new bilateral projects in both educational and scientific directions.

"Every collaboration with foreign universities is highly significant and promising for us. This meeting represents another step toward a successful partnership between our two institutions," stated the Rector of TSMU.

"For many years, Tbilisi State Medical University and Sofia Medical University have successfully cooperated, mainly in the field of public health. We strongly wish to expand our collaboration with TSMU, making it broader and more diverse. Sofia University is extending its Erasmus programs in medicine, dentistry, and rehabilitation. Additionally, we are actively working on modern scientific projects, including artificial intelligence, genomics, and genetics. We would like your university to be part of this process," noted Professor Anzhelika Velkova-Monova, Vice-Rector of Sofia Medical University.
