Immense interest and new partnerships – TSMU summarizes the outcomes of the Educational Exhibition in New Delhi

"The exhibition was highly engaging. A crucial detail is that among the attendees interested in medicine, the greatest enthusiasm was directed toward our institution, Tbilisi State Medical University," stated Professor Irakli Natrosvhili, Rector of TSMU, as he summarized the outcomes of the international educational expo APAIE 2025, held in New Delhi, India.

For 3 days (March 25-27), visitors and participants of the exhibition had the opportunity to get acquainted with the offers of TSMU and other Georgian universities, explore the infrastructure through VR headsets, and receive comprehensive information regarding student services, educational programs, and other key aspects. In an effort to attract international students, the TSMU delegation held multiple working meetings with various organizations in the education sector. As the Rector of TSMU explained, the event highlighted new perspectives and opportunities for the university:

"The immense interest towards TSMU has made visible for me that the resources that exist in India and particularly in New Delhi, have not yet been fully utilized. This means that we need to further intensify our efforts in this direction."

In addition to strengthening efforts to attract international students to TSMU, Professor Irakli Natrosvhili emphasized another crucial outcome of the educational expo: the deepening and expansion of international partnerships. This development signifies an increase in the number of global universities partnering with TSMU, which directly translates into greater opportunities for TSMU students and academic staff to participate in exchange programs.

For Tbilisi State Medical University, expanding and diversifying international partnerships and establishing new collaborations is of utmost importance. This development directly translates into greater opportunities for our current students, particularly Georgian students, to participate in international exchange programs under ERASMUS+. The more partner universities we have, the more opportunities we can offer students for internships and exchange programs through ERASMUS+" stated Professor Irakli Natrosvhili, Rector of TSMU.

The Rector is confident that the international educational exhibition in New Delhi has significantly enhanced the global recognition of Tbilisi State Medical University and Georgia’s entire education system on the international academic map. This success was further reinforced by the presence of a strong delegation representing both TSMU and the country, the well-organized Georgian educational space at the exhibition, and the participation of professionals who provided comprehensive responses to inquiries.

"Our exhibition space was exceptionally well-organized. The displays were strategically arranged to attract visitors and capture their attention. Furthermore, it was crucial that every interested individual who visited our booth received professional and academically rigorous responses to their inquiries." – stated Professor Irakli Natrosvhili, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University.

TSMU, alongside other Georgian universities, participated in the international educational exhibition APAIE 2025 in New Delhi within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia "Education in Georgia." The Georgian delegation was led by Aleksandre Tsuladze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia

The "Education in Georgia" initiative has been implemented by the Ministry since 2016, aiming to enhance international collaborations among Georgian universities and support student and academic staff mobility in higher education institutions.

As for the APAIE 2025 international educational exhibition, it is organized by the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE). The event seeks to foster connections between educational institutions and international partners across the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the exhibition featured participation from nearly 70 countries.
