The legal and medical aspects of drug intoxication were the main focus of a public lecture held at Tbilisi State Medical University. The lecture was delivered by Associate Professor Malkhaz Jokhadze, Department of Pharmaceutical Botany of TSMU. During the session, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of legal assessment, including the critical role of toxicological analysis in the investigation of drug-induced fatalities. Students were also introduced to the specific characteristics of postmortem toxicokinetics—knowledge that is essential for forensic examination and the administration of justice.

The lecture - Legal Evaluation of Drug Intoxication and Postmortem Toxicokinetics: The Role of Toxicology in Justice, sparked considerable interest among students. Attendees actively engaged in the discussion, raising questions on the management of drug intoxication cases both at the national and international levels.

The event was organized by the TSMU Student Self-Government in collaboration with the Georgian Association of Pharmacy Students.
