TSMU Representatives participate in International Digital Week 2025 programme – “Digital Transformation in Higher Education” in Nice

Professor Tinatin Kilasonia, Head of the International Cooperation Division at the Department of International Relations and Nino Kandelaki, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator of Tbilisi State Medical University participated in the International Digital Week 2025 programme - Digital Transformation in Higher Education, held at the Université Côte d’Azur, (France). 

The TSMU representatives mentioned that the event facilitated the establishment of significant professional connections and the identification of prospective avenues for future collaboration. Notably, Ms. Virginie Audhomme, Director of International and European Development at Université Côte d’Azur and organizer of the event, expressed her interest in jointly submitting two proposals for funding in cooperation with TSMU on behalf of the University of Nice: an Erasmus+ CBHE project titled Cross-Regional Development and an Erasmus+ KA171 administrative staff mobility project, planned for the autumn semester of 2026.

During the visit, Associate Professor Tinatin Kilasonia and Nino Kandelaki held meetings and consultations with representatives from leading European universities: the University of Seville, Alfonso X El Sabio University, University of Barcelona (Spain), Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu and University of Bucharest (Romania), University of Zagreb (Croatia), Lund University and Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden). As a result of these negotiations, the parties agreed to jointly submit project proposals for Erasmus+ funding in February 2026.

The international week brought together representatives from approximately 250 higher education institutions across 35 countries. The event aimed to serve as one of the leading platforms within the European Higher Education Area for fostering international cooperation, promoting digital transformation and sharing innovations.
