Within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange program Alexandra Arutyunyan and Lika Gakharia, students of Nursing and Midwifery Bachelor’s Program of Tbilisi State Medical University completed a three-month internship during the spring semester of the 2024–2025 academic year at the Medical University of Warsaw (Poland). Throughout the exchange program, the TSMU students actively engaged in a wide range of clinical and practical activities, including direct communication with patients, participation in clinical processes and the development of teamwork skills. This experience provided them with the opportunity to enhance both their professional competencies and personal growth at one of Europe’s leading medical universities.
"The internship period represented our first large-scale international experience, which significantly reinforced our professional motivation and commitment to the chosen field of study," the students noted.
The exchange program also proved to be particularly valuable from a cultural perspective. The students had the opportunity to interact with peers from various countries, with whom they shared not only professional insights but also cultural values.
