Tbilisi State Medical University proudly announces that 20 graduates of its American MD Program have secured placements in U.S. residency programs. This marks a record-breaking achievement for the program, representing the highest number of matched graduates in a single year since its inception.
Since its
launch, the program has produced seven cohorts, with the Class of 2026
achieving outstanding success in the NRMP Match 2026. Graduates successfully
completed all stages required for residency placement and will continue their
training in leading hospitals and medical centers across the United States.
This
year’s matched graduates will pursue a diverse range of specialties, including
internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, neurology and pathology, offering
broad opportunities for professional growth and international medical careers.
Residency
training in the United States is widely regarded as a critical milestone in a
