An innovative technique of acute appendicitis treatment has been implemented at the Tbilisi State Medical University G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic General Surgery Department. The technique envisages laparoscopic appendectomy via single port. The incision is one centimeter long and after the laparoscopic intervention no scar remained on the skin. Four surgeries have been performed for the last few days at the clinic. 

Tbilisi State Medical University G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic Surgery Department has implemented mini-invasion laparoscopic treatments of appendicitis and other surgical pathologies via applying a traditional method (three ports) for the last eight years.
