On September 18, 2017, a new academic year began at Tbilisi State Medical University. Before the commencement of the solemn ceremony, the Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University welcomed the delegation of foreign professors:

Rector of TSMU introduced Tbilisi State Medical University and its achievements to the respectable guests. They expressed appreciation for the invitation and gave warm and grateful assessment to the host country and the university. Honorary guests were welcomed and addressed by Vice Rectors of TSMU: Professor Khatuna Todadze, Professor Rima Beriashvili and Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze. 
The invited guests will participate in an international conference dedicated to Georgia-Germany collaboration - "Georgian-German collaboration, From Past to Future", which will also be opened today. The guests will deliver lectures at TSMU clinics and participate in various events.
