Final Report Presentation on the Physical Rehabilitation Project at the Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation

The final report Presentation on the Physical Rehabilitation Project was organized at the Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation.  

The aim of the USAID and Emory University joint Physical Rehabilitation Project is to strengthen capacity of physical rehabilitation professionals, expand access to high-quality physical rehabilitation services and appropriate assistive technologies in Georgia.

In partnership with civic society, academia and the private sector, the grant program has expanded access to quality and affordable physical rehabilitation services across the country. Within the framework of the project, more than 120 field professionals have been trained to serve people with disabilities and those who need medical rehabilitation services. Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation is able to serve more than 5000 patients annually 

The final report on the Physical Rehabilitation Project was presented by the TSMU Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Professor, Director of Educational Programs at the Emory University School of Medicine and the Project Coordinator, Archil Undilashvili. The event was attended by the Acting Mission Director of USAID, David Hoffman. He talked about the mission and success of the project and highlighted the importance of upcoming project development to strengthen assistance to the people with disabilities. 

The Physical Rehabilitation Project in Georgia was completed on March 27, 2022. The project has been implemented since 2017 supported by the USAID, Emory School of Medicine along with its partner organizations in Georgia:
