On November 10-11, 2017, Associate Professor Dea Vadachkoria  the Department  of Clinical Orthopedic Dentistry of Tbilisi State Medical University, and Assistant Professor Ekaterine Beshkenadze, Department of Odontology of Tbilisi State Medical University participated in International Symposium "Competence in Esthetics 2017”,  which was held in Vienna (Austria).  The theme of the Symposium was:  “Digital Smile Design, CAD/CAM-Dentistry & Implant Solutions".  The program and the theme of the symposium was very interesting; on the one hand, the symposium brought  together the most outstanding representatives of Esthetic Dentistry and brilliant speakers and on the other hand, topical issues of orthopedic dentistry, such as, "synchronous working of doctors and dental technicians", " interdisciplinary visions of difficult clinical cases" and "prospects of digital dentistry",  were highlighted. One of the organizers of the Symposium was the largest dental corporation "Ivoclar Vivadent", materials and products of which are widely used in daily practice of Associate Professor Dea Vadachkoria and Assistant Professor Ekaterine Beshkenadze.  At the Symposium, Prof. Dr. Petra Gierthmuhlen., Prof. Dr. Irena Sailer., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marko Jakovac., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stefen Koubi  gave  very interesting presentations on:  exclusive methods and approaches for aesthetic improvement  using modern ceramic materials,  direct and indirect methods of teeth aesthetic restoration,  challenges of structures for orthopedic implants  and digital dentistry. Associate Professor Dea Vadachkoria and Assistant Professor Ekaterine Beshkenadze will introduce the information, obtained  at the symposium, to the members of their Departments and reflect it on the syllabus as far as possible. Associate Professor Dea Vadachkoria and Assistant Professor Ekaterine Beshkenadze were awarded the certificates attesting to their participation in the symposium.
