Charitee University Representatives Visit at TSMU

On May, 20-24 academic staff of Charitee Univeristy (Germany) visited Tbilisi State Medical University in frames of ERASMUS +. The guests visited TSMU Clinics and held lectures for TSMU students and staff. 

The guests had a workshop with Professor Nino Abralava, the Head of the Foreign Languages Centre. Prof. Abralava, Prof. Gia Tomadze and Dr. Nino Kandelaki, ERASMUAS + TSMU Institutional Coordinator discussed the further cooperation plans and students' exchange programs. The meeting was also attended by Nigeb Hardoil, the Head of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and answered the students’ and academic staff’s questions. The guests were also awarded with certificates.

On May 23, TSMU students, academic and administrative staff had an opportunity to listen to the lectures of Charitee Univeristy representatives: “Natural and artificial drug carriers” (Prof Hans Baumler), “Diversion of Pulmonary Infections” (Dr. Markus Brack), “Models of respiratory inflammation“(Dr. Sandra Wienhold), “Lessons from pneumonia mouse models” (Dr. Geraldine Nouailles), “Pathomechanisms in pneumococcal pneumonia-induce acute lung injury”(Dr. Brigitt  Gutbier’s), “The role of Interventional radiology in oncology- where do we stand and what is to come?” (Dr. Florian Nima Fleckenstein) and “Modern aspects of implant associated infections (interplay from the lab to the clinic)” (Dr. Tamta Tkhilaishvili).

At the final meeting, 2019-2021 cooperation plans, students and academic staff exchange programs and further partnership possibilities were discussed by the German colleagues, Prof. Abralava and Dr. Kandelaki
