On September 28, 2023 Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by H.E.  Saranya Hasanthi Urugodawatte Dissanayake, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Turkey, Georgia and Ukraine, Ms. Nino Makhviladze, Hon. Consul of Sri Lanka in Georgia and Ms. Nesi Kupreishvili, assistant of Consul. The delegation was hosted by Assoc. Prof. Irina Kapetivadze, Head of Rector’s Office, Assoc. Prof. David Topuria, Dean of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology of TSMU and Assoc. Prof. Tinatin Kilasonia Head of the International Relations Department of TSMU. 

H.E.  Saranya Hasanthi Urugodawatte Dissanayake highlighted, she has always been interested in Sri Lankan students’ lifestyle and education in Georgia. Assoc. Professors David Topuria and Tinatin Kilasonia introduced the guests to the international students’ lifestyle in Tbilisi State Medical University and noted Sri Lankan students’ involvement in educational and extracurricular activities of the university.
