Students of the Medical University of Innsbruck (Austria), Sarah Silberberg and Tamara Falsetto underwent internship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Tbilisi State Medical University the First University Clinic from July 3 To August 3.

“Georgian medical system is very much identical to Austrian. The internship month in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Tbilisi State Medical University was very interesting for me. I observed diverse manipulation performed by the Georgian doctors. I want to express my gratitude to Tbilisi State Medical University for the opportunity” said Sarah Silberberg.

"Tbilisi State Medical University and the Medical University of Innsbruck are partner institutions. As a consequence, it was not difficult to participate in the exchange program. I underwent the internship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Tbilisi State Medical University. I attended morning meetings where the anamnesis of patients was discussed and treatment methods planned. We also attended surgeries and thoroughly observed the process” said Tamara Falsetto.

Assoc. Prof. Platon Machavariani Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Tbilisi State Medical University and Head of the Perinatology Direction of the First University Clinic coordinated the Austrian students. Assoc. Prof. Platon Machavariani evaluated students’ internship as excellent and skillful for their further career development.
