“THE MASK 2017 - Tbilisi Amateur International Student Festival” was opened

On December 4, 2017, “THE MASK 2017  - Tbilisi Amateur International Student Festival”   was opened at Tbilisi State Medical University.  It is the fourth time the festival has been held with international status where the theaters of various universities are actively involved in. This year the performances will be presented by the theatrical groups of 6 Universities of Georgia, National Agricultural University of Ukraine and Iran University of Economic Science. Theater Festival was opened by  Prof.Khatuna Todadze Vice Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University.  She noted that the University is proud to host such festival. Prof. Todadze once again congratulated the TSMU theater - "Hygia" on the successful season and Grand Prix earned at 60th International Festivat in Monaco. The audience was  addressed and welcomed by Natia Gujabidze, the founder and art director of Theater "Hygia". She represented the jury of the festival, including: Gogi Todadze, actors: Ekaterine Demetradze, David Gotsiridze, Laura Rekhviashvili, Maia Khornauli, Archil Sologashvili, Eka Mzhavanadze, Theater Expert Nikoloz Tsulukidze and Irakli Gvilava Head of Tbilisi Municipal Department of EducationSport and Youth. On behalf of the festival "Mask-2017 was awarded the honorary membership Certificates were awarded to  Vato Jugeli, Director of theater  ( International Black Sea University),  Gega Gagnidze, Director of the theater (Caucasus International University),  Kakha Abuladze Director of Tbilisi Youth Center Unions and Badri Machavariani Deputy Director  of TSMU Sports and Art Center. After the opening ceremony, the Theater of International Black Sea University presented the performance "Bear". Theater festival will be closed on December 11, where the jury will evaluate the performances and reveal the winners in various nominations.
