On April 4-7, 2018,  Prof. ZurabVadachkoria, Rector of  Tbilisi State Medical University, and Prof. Rima Beriashvili Vice-Rector of TSMU were on official visit to Zurich, Switzerland, to attend  the EUA  Annual Conference - “Engaged and responsible universities shaping Europe”. The 2018 EUA Annual Conference discussed universities' pivotal role in generating knowledge, developing intercultural understanding,   demographic changes and new migration patterns and strategic development through their core missions. As a full member of the European University Association (EUA), Tbilisi State Medical University participated in the work of the General Assembly. The Conference was hosted by the University of Zurich. Prof. Rolf TarrachPresident of European University Association presented the Conference program to the audience. The conference participants were welcomed by Silvia Steiner Government Councillor of  Switzerland. It should be emphasized that the delegation of Georgia - Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU  and  Prof. Giorgi Shervashidze, Rector of TSU met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation: H.E. David Jalagania and Mr. Ilia Marjanidze Senior Advisor of the Embassy.
