On March 12, 2022 a Board Meeting of Regents and Vice Regents of the European Division of the International College of Dentists (ICD) was held in Leiden (the Netherlands). The meeting was attended by TSMU Professor Marina Mamaladze, Head of the Odontology Department. Prof. Marina Mamaladze is the District 15 Vice Regent covering Central and Northern European countries. 

The meeting was led by the President of ICD-Europe, Professor Gil Alves Alcoforado and the Registrar, Professor Mauro Labanca. 

Issues related to the policy of ICD-Europe were discussed. Criteria for admitting new members of the board were reviewed and location for organizing upcoming congress was determined. ICD Annual Meeting is planned to be organized on June 8-11, 2022, in Porto Portugal. Scientific reports and speakers were named and issues related to admission of Armenia and Azerbaijan in ICD were discussed. The task was delegated to Prof. Marina Mamaladze as a responsible person for the Caucasian Region. 

District 15 Regent Serhiy Radlinsky was not able to attend the meeting due to unfortunate events taking place in Ukraine. The board members discussed the Regent’s request. Regent Serhiy Radlinsky claimed to suspend admission process of the representatives from the Russian Federation as the members of the organization and remove the Russian Federation from the District 15. The board listened to Prof. Marina Mamaladze’s opinion about the issue which was acceptable for the board members. No new members will be accepted from the Russian Federation, and the existing members will have their status suspended.
