On January 17-18, 2018, Irina Kapetivadze, Head of TSMU International Relations Department and Salome Voronova, Deputy Head of Medical Education Research and Strategic Development Department visited Bonn (Germany), within the frames of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) conference - "Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions – implementation of theories in practice". Various important issues were discussed at the conference: internationalization – accelerant for development and networking; Bologna tools - strategic elements in the internationalization process; Staff mobility within higher education institutions; Recognition of qualifications, procedures and contradictions; Experience of German Higher Education Institutions and Development of international quality of joint teaching programs. TSMU representatives participated in workshops:”Change Management in Higher Education Institutions" and "ERASMUS + Application for Financing". Irina Kapetivadze and Salome Voronova met Prof. Gregory Makrides, President of European Association of Erasmus Coordinators. Tbilisi State Medical University signed agreement with Cyprus Universities in frames of "ERASMUS +" partnership. Within the framework of the visit, cooperation was planned with the following universities:

• Saarland University (Germany);

• Renne University (France);

• University of Paris 13 (France);

• Istanbul University (Turkey)

• Cochi University (Turkey).
