On December 11-14, 2019 TSMU Vice Rector Associate Professor Irakli Kokhreidze participated in annual Congress MBN 2019 - Oncoplastic and Aesthetic Breast Meeting in Milan (Italy). The congress was dedicated to a genius scientist and artist, Leonardo Da Vinci. His essential preamble was – “Never Stop Learning” and “Be like Leonardo”. 

Following topics were discussed: de-escalation of breast and axillary surgery, the impact of neoadjuvant treatments on breast and axillary surgery, management of low-risk DCIS, randomized controlled trials in breast surgery, standardized outcome assessment in breast surgery, the impact of radiotherapy on breast reconstruction, the impact of neoadjuvant chemio on breast reconstruction, ADM-assisted direct-to-implant breast reconstruction, pre-pectoral breast reconstruction, two stages according to anatomical features, hybrid reconstruction, autologous tissue and fat grafting. 

The last day of the conference was dedicated to a live-surgery, an on-line operation with active communication with the audience.
